What We Do

Science in every classroom

Beyond our classes and competition prep, MNYSF volunteers personally visit middle and high school classrooms in underrepresented and underserved communities throughout Minnesota. We believe that a student's first exposure to competitive science shouldn't depend on their zip code — so we go to them.

Our outreach visits are hands-on and interactive. We introduce students to subjects like biology, chemistry, physics, and earth science through demonstrations, practice questions, and conversation. We want every student to leave the session excited about science and aware of the opportunities available to them.

If you're a teacher or school administrator interested in hosting a visit, please reach out — we'd love to come to your classroom.
